Linda Childers Knapp Elementary was named after Mrs. Linda Childers Knapp, who began working as a principal for Springdale in 1978 and was a leader and a teacher to many educators in Springdale.

Mrs. Childers Knapp was interested in educational models that engaged students, provided them with leadership roles and built their confidence. Her students knew she cared about them. Her contributions to the Springdale School District will forever be appreciated.
